Transformation of <i>n</i>-heptane using an in-liquid submerged microwave plasma jet of argon

چکیده
The reforming of hydrocarbons has gained much interest as a means to upgrade low-grade fuels and produce value-added chemicals. Plasmas have been considered one the potential ways reform achieve more effective cleaner combustion, particularly by producing various hydrocarbons, hydrogen carriers, oxygenates well syngas. Here, we employed submerged microwave plasma jet argon investigate its transform n-heptane. We found that product selectivities were mainly governed gas temperature, which adjusted changing energy density stream. transformation n-heptane this method mostly produced ethylene acetylene, is different than products pyrolysis or chemical equilibrium composition.
